Ok, I was a huge fan of the 1st and 2nd season of Digimon. I hated the third, but the fourth was just ok. While I watching I noticed Agumon returned. Although he is the most annoying agumon ever I thought it was good to bring him back. He digivolved in Geogreymon, (wtf). It was always Greymon. Also Digomon evolved in Digmon which is impossible according to the second season. Cody's digimon amardillomon Armor digivolves into Digmon (The drill of Power). Why create the show and not stick with the previous ones?

They are considered separate. Season 1 and 2 where the only ones that continued.

you are a bit confused there buddy
first agumon digivolved differently because he is digivolved in a different manner with a differnt kind of data, digmons predigivolution is different because they were digivolved in 2 different ways armor, and normal.

second first two seasons were cool, 3rd was awesome, forth was the biggest piece of crap in tv history, season 5 is the best show ever.

Different Data doesn't really matter why not stick with what made the show the best in the first place?

let me revise my last statement: they changed these things to try something new, this season is in a completely different reality from the others and i for 1 do not want to see the same stuff as the last seasons. i'd rather see something new and different that was the whole reason i started watching digimon.

Most of the digivolutions for the characters have been altered. For some reason they changed biyomon's evolution to that season 2 bid digimon but still used the ultimate form.

Play the games, in the digiworld games it explains that a number of factors can influence the tree in which a digimon evolves, The skullgreymon/metal greymon or agumon to meramon split being the most known. Also you have to consider that this show like gundam is a 20 minute action figure commercial (It's bandai) so they are doing their best to keep the show entertaining as well as producing new models for their model kit line which is how they earn their living.

Rotflmao :::Looks at the power ranger franchise::: ZOMG. Every show needs to evolve in some way. I am really happy with the fact that seasons 3 4 and 5 are separate entities from each other as well as the season 1 and 2 story arcs. It allows new fans to jump in pretty much at any season and know what their favorite characters are up to without having to drudge through season after season of previously released episodes and story arcs. And, we get some awesome merchandise each season. LOLLERCAUST. So cheers to new fans, new merchandise, and new stories!!!!!!!!! Ciao mein
