Training Day possible reference

This may just be coincidence but then again maybe not. Frank Lucas (Denzel Washington) frequently uses the phrase "My man & Alright...My Man". This appears to be a slight variation on the phrase that Alonzo Harris (Denzel) uses in Training Day. No idea if it was intentional but I'd like to think it was a deliberate nod. Also essentially Ritchie asks Frank if he wants to go to jail or go home. Another frequent phrase spoken by Alonzo in TD.
