Other good long movies?

At nearly three hours long, you'd think it would be a slog, but it isn't... instead it is completely immersive... you get to appreciate the interconnected web of characters, the socio-economic background, the complex motives and all the while the story doesn't miss a beat... It feels tight and you can hold it entirely in your mind... It's never dull...

What other movies pull of a long running time well?

Blood In, Blood Out (1993) - Excellent period crime drama

Love Exposure (2008) - Incredible cinematic journey. Cannot be categorized.

Casino is great movie and so is wolf on wall street both long movies

Godfather Part II and The Irishman are both 3.5 hour gangster epics. Once Upon A Time In The West is nearly 4 hours (all these films seem to star De Niro 🤷🏻‍♂️)

Then you’ve got the old school epics like Lawrence Of Arabia and The Ten Commandments that run about 4 hours each.

I love a great film that lasts half a day.
