Arg! Mini shields!

I can't get the shield thats on the little island in the middle of the pond in the Hogwarts exterior. I've tried using acio and I've tried using the magicus extremous thing with acio and it won't work but all it says on the walkthroughs is to use acio. Any ideas?

"Up is down"? Well, that's just maddeningly unhelpful.
