At first I was skeptical. Why should I care about some model, hippie whatever? But then, after about 10 or 15 minutes I was transfixed. I cared about the characters, I cared about the story, I laughed, I got teary eyed...the whole nine. This was an excellent movie! A great story about a fascinating woman. The trick of this movie is that you have to fall in love with Uschi, only then you get it, and I did for 90 minutes or so!

Also, check out the amazing performances by David Scheller as Dieter Bockhorn
and Alexander Scheer as Keith Richards. If this was an American movie both of them would have been nominated for Academy Awards for best supporting actor, I have no doubt.

Go see this movie...if you can ;-)

"If this were an American movie..." -- the Academy would probably snub it as having too much skin, and for being about somebody most American never heard of, etc. Really, it almost reminds me of Easy Rider. A lifestyle tribute.

I mean, I liked it a lot, but it's not really what I'd call "great cinema". Entertaining, especially if you like naked bodies.
