Any tips for Shao Kahn?

No matter how many times I try, I can't even make a dent on Shao Kahn's statue. I know that you have to fireball the glowing orbs and then get the statue to walk to that circle in the center of the room and then punch that square on the floor. But how the hell do you do that? I've tried many times, and he always kills me before I can get him to walk into the circle.
