Is that normal operational procedure?

I mean at the beginning 3 soldiers are going after 2 attackers.
2 get wounded, and one goes after the last one alone.
Is that normal?
I would ahve thought you get drilled not to engage combat in such cases, since there could be an amush especially if you don't the enviroment?
Is such Gung Ho action normal?

Yeah--kind of--when insurgants run, we chase them down and kill them... but that scene was a little strange.

When the second soldier (of the three) was shot in the leg, his battle buddy was already ahead of him and didn't realize it. The last thing he saw was 50 Cent telling him that he'd cover him, which made no sense because the soldier disapears behind a wall.
