I'm listening to John Stewatr on The Daily Show dscribe his character as "a spring who wants to freeze the world with ice that shoots out of his moustache" and I have to say... This pretty much completely supports my belief that a studio will greenlight any script that is PG and intends to be CGI.
Any thoughts on this?
Just so you know, this film is based on an old 1970's children's program. It has been in non-US development for the last couple of years, and was released in 2004 in Britain.
The Weinsteins just picked it up and gave it a terribly 'hip and edgy' use of characters and dialogue.
If there's one thing I cannot take, it's a dub that figures it can slip the word 'bling' into a film.
