This Movie ROCKED!

I had the opprotinuty to view the screening of this last night.

The movie had a very dark and lonely feel to it. It felt gritty, dirty, ghetto...you name it....but it was beautifully done!

The actors truly portrayed some real demented and hardened souls who ironically are policing people just like them.

I won't say much more as I don't want to give anything away, but:

Those of you that like Police drama that really attempts to explore the inside of someone's head, how they are away from the badge, what they're like with co-workers who are just like they are....then you're in for a real treat!

Really, really well done! Can't wait to see the reviews after its official release!

I saw it last night. I didn't think it was amazing but it was certainly good. Kept me entertained and it had a pretty cool ending.

Liked the appreciation to Chris Penn at the end.

Nice movie I like the oldschool touch with the 1980s corvette and the big computermonitors in the office. The action and some other parts reminded me of john woo movies... nice and stylish. The garagepart had the Reservoir Dogs feel with the dramatic shootout. It's too bad these kind of movies go so relativley unnoticed, it wasn't even in theatres over here.

This movie isn't a knockout but I thought it was better than average. Good action, lots of shady characters and plenty of twists and turns. It managed to keep me interested throughout the film, something a lot of movies of today don't do.

Great film! Saw it last night and I come to the conclusion that Vice must be the best cop movie since Copland, Narc and Miami Vice. I wasn't expecting much at all, but I like Michael Madsen so I decided to try.

The film goes slowly but it shows us correctly how does cop's life is: no heroes, no glamour, sometimes happy, sometimes tragic but mostly sad. Loved the performances all around and the fact that I couldn't guess what came next. Fine direction, and a great story made the rest.

An out-standing film that should be seen!

I haven't seen Vice yet (probably tonight), but I just wanted to say it was cool how at least SOMEBODY recognized the dark & gritty elements of Miami Vice. Even Colin Farrell said it - "If this wasn't called Miami Vice, people would be running out to see it. It's a dark, noir, street film; as gritty as anything else out there.". And it's totally true. People heap praises upon "Heat", and even though I frickin loved it, most of the scenes were ripped off from Mann's earlier work. But Miami Vice - the only thing that was the same as the show were the speedboats. Other than that it had great gunfights, slimy characters, and two totally believable career undercover narcs.

BTW, I doubt ANY movie made in this genre will be better than Narc. With Joe Carnahan writing, directing, and (it's about time!) remembering that Jason Patric and Ray Liotta can act their a$$es off, you caught lightning in a bottle. By far one of the darkest (not "scary" or any of that shyt - straight up street level film noir) cop movies ever. And I do mean "lightning in a bottle" - you can have the best actors in the world, and you might get "Heat", or you might get "Righteous Kill".

Well I wouldn't say that it rocked but I do agree that it was pretty damn good; especially for a blockbuster rental!
