Kids and retarded adults will see this this movie and be like "I KNEW IT! Area 51 is full of Aliens"... Which is so far from the truth. If I were still a kid, and saw this movie, I would be pretty convinced Area 51, whether I found out about the base sometime in the near future, would be a base housing aliens. In truth, we should all know Area 51 is not an alien housing base, it's a jet and plane base. It would have been a lot nicer if this movie was called something different.

when a saw the title I thought of an American, coming to another planet, and clamming it as the 51st state.

Uco, that is actually quite genius. and in actuality, a much better explanation than the creators made up.

originally it was to be called 'Planet One' for some random reason...

We've come to the conclusion that The Bird is greater than or equal to The Word.

This is nice. It's like me going up to a stranger and saying "you're unhealthy". Is there any merit to what I said? No, and do you know why? Because I've said something that lacks any argument behind it. I would consider you the retard for rebounding my comment like a 5 year old that hasn't gotten his way. well nobody got convinced it was all real after seeing Independence Day 14yrs ago and that movie had the distinction of actually being refused military corporation unless they removed all references to area 51.

Well of course America already has a hoard of retards who already believe this stuff. What I'm saying is that the title is a play on words with "area 51". If someone's stupid enough to believe there's aliens at area 51 chances are their are people stupid enough to be convinced by this movie.

well we've gotten to the point where car commercials put a small "do not attempt, this is a stunt driver" warning in the corner so yeah....i think its safe to say they dont have faith in american intelligence. :P

Kids are a lot smarter then adults think they are. And you do not know every kid in the world so you shouldn't say that they are stupid. I know some very smart kids. Also just because the movie is called Planet 51 doesn't mean people who see this will be convinced Area 51 is full of aliens. I agree with the other poster who said if this convinced you then you would be a stupid kid. It's just a fun movie. Get over it. And just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean the people who do believe are stupid.

I think the title is great as it is. It's a play on words since area 51 is supposed to have Aliens, then Planet 51 does have aliens. I don't see anyone thinking that this animated movie that makes fun of everything was a message to kids that Area 51 has Aliens. And if you do have a kid that is not able to figure out the difference, they should have a grown up figure that can explain it to them.

Parents should be the ones responsible for explaining what is real, and what is fantasy to their children. If a kid is that dumb then the parent can sit with the kid while watching the movie, then answer any confusing questions that kid has.

OF everyone I know, kids and adults not one of them made the dumb connection that you claim anyone should.

Just say you don't like the movie and then move on.

NO one looks at a cartoon and thinks anything in it is real.
