Nasty con trick

Hoping for something like a non-stupid Da Vinci Code, I was horribly disappointed to find myself watching a ghastly piece of religious propaganda. A wasted chance and a total waste of time.
I actually felt sorry for Malcolm McDowell; I hope he was well-paid for appearing in this rubbish.

No more a con than religion. Who, apart from Godbotherers, would pay to see this feebleminded nonsense?

Stealing movies is bad.

Convincing a multitude of people that a book edited together from a collection of short stories and accounts as to be the writing of God and the instruction manual for life is very, very bad and immoral.

Wow wasn't the Da Vinci Code it's own religious propaganda? If people don't like this film, fine but don't trash others for liking it or being Christian. We're not all judgemental prigs and we like entertainment that caters to our beliefs just like, oh I don't know, everyone else.

I believe the "Nasty Con trick" he referred to is that the movie doesn't present itself as a Christian film until you're watching it. Nowhere in any of the press I and seen about this movie at the time it came out, or the description of the movie on the back cover of the dvd does it mention anything GOD-related. It's not until you reach the 'Special Features' do you see the featurettes entitled 'Power of Prayer' and 'Bible Study Discussion Guide'. I was puzzled by this, and yet I watched it anyways hoping it was a joke or something. Nope, it's a Jesus film! Disappointing that a Christian film misrepresented itself!
