I'm sorry if anybody else already wrote about this but this is my opinion and i would like to express it. and if you like sadie i'm sorry if any of this offends you.

She was horrible. She did not let ben have any say in anything. She even AGREED with the wedding date without consulting him. chose to do the stupid course. Ignored the fact that Frank bugged their house. a freakin felony. Personally i think she ruined the movie. also very unbelievable, leaving him because he didnt write vows yet! thats so stupid. i hated her character completey. Ben! i cannot believe he went back to her and apologized!! for WHAT? and he completely forgave frank for RUINING their original relationship. the only good thing about the program probably was that it brought out Sadies flaws. That should have shed the light on Sadie to ben. of course being a Movie and not real, they end up married anyway.

The only reason i watched this was because of John and i love the office. i hate that he chose to do this pathetic excuse for a film. imo Sadie character ruined it.

yeap Sadie is an idiot and a b*tch, why would she take advice from a man who hasn't seen in like 10 years and who's never been married???

I'm Catholic, and I know that you must do a course with a priest b4 you marry somebody, but why would you take advices of marriage and how to raise kids from somebody who may know all the theory but has 0% of experience in real life?? I don't agree with that, and as for the movie, Sadie is an idiot b/c she almost throws everything to the toilet b/c of an annoying & psychotic priest and his obnoxious & creepy little muppet helper.

Dear gods. She was consulting with her guy friend about their WEDDING, honestly, I was expecting a cheating sort of plot twist.

She was just irritable from the start. Ben kept rolling with it, and she just kept blindly trusting this preacher guy.

They are the most incompatible couple I've seen. Why on earth would they get married in the end.

More importantly why would Ben continue to grovel to get her back?!

thank you, i hated her. she was selfish, she never stopped for a moment to think how ben feels, what he might want. it was all about sadie, sadie, sadie. he was wayyyyyyy too good for her, she wasnt worth anything.....

i totally agree - this movie made me really angry - mostly because it was so hard to care because Sadie was SOO unlikeable (i find this happens a lot in Moore's roles: Entourage, Because I Said So...).

I mean, maybe I should have known but it took me about one scene to think that the entire premise of the movie was SOO ridiculous - their relationship was PERFECT and they were totally in love with each other. Frank was such an *beep* - nothing he did was constructive at all - forcing them to fight when they had NEVER fought before or ensuring they would fight over things like sex...

And then she freaks out after he's put up with so much stuff? that's bull *beep* he agreed to the program. at pretty much every level he was uncomfortable with frank's ridiculousness but consented JUST FOR HER. what did she do for him the WHOLE movie? he gave up on his dream of a caribbean wedding (at first) just for her because she wanted to be married by frank - consenting to living hell.

I can't believe anyone would go through all the h*ll John's character went through for a woman who was a snobby, b*tchy control freak. She didn't need to be perfect, but at least make her likable enough where it makes sense that a man would go through so much for her. Guess we can all expect the sequel: Permission to Divorce.

I agree with this post. Moore's character ruined the movie, and as someone said, they should have mad her more likable.

Sadie is just the bitch that any man would not like to have in his life , even if she were the only living woman in the world .
She is a control freak who treats Ben like *beep* I just could not put up with the crap she was dragging Ben through.......

She is like I can do whatever I want , and you just will obey me , and Oh yeah "I am always right; even if I shatter you life long dreams , even if I am a sycophant with my "best friend" Carlisle and agree to whatever he says and just turn your opinions down like a matter-of-fact thing ,and even when I am discussing how I want my weird marriage adviser cum minister to have s*x with me right in front of you ".etc........

She is a total bitch , and evertime I see her on screen in the movie, I wish I could just kick her ass literally .She is a dumb stupid blond *beep* I am still pissed at her and hate her character. I guess Mandy Moore is just like this in real life

There is a trend in Hollywood when it comes to romantic comedies, no matter how bad or horrible the woman treats her man, he always has to apologize, even when he has done nothing wrong.

Sadie's character was only about 1 of a hundred reasons to hate the movie. I couldn't figure out why Ben wouldn't take the get out of jail free card. Maybe, he wanted someone to run his life, maybe it isn't such a bad deal not having to make decisions and having someone else take care of the details. Not my thing each to his own.

The only film I can think of that reverses this is 'My Best Friends Wedding' which is 100x better than this movie.
I really did not like her, her and Robin Wiliams should have been married.
That said, I do like Mandy Moore, and I think she needs better roles.

I think both Ben and Sadie are plain dumb in this movie. Sadie - for being such a ruthless bitch and Ben for putting up with her like a doormat.
