Ben Shaking the robot baby

i found that part really disturbing. My fiance is a pediatric nurse, and she sees real cases of that every day. No laughing matter. I think it was a little strange to see the writers put in such a scene in a comedy movie. Did anyone else cringe at that scene?

It's not like he would do that to a REAL baby. I know that it is no laughing matter, but it is a movie. Chill out.

reply

I agree. they were just freaky.

Cringe? It was a ROBOT. In a MOVIE.

I would've liked to see it go further, like Ben drowning the robot baby in a fountain, or maybe drop-kicking it down the store escalator.

You've obviously never been given a Baby Think it Over in Highschool. Same idea. The plastic is so hard on their backs that when you burp them repeatedly, you get bruises. Not even joking. And the head falls back and it cries so high pitched you want to kill yourself. at the end of the 3 days I had it, the readout had four cases of Shaken Baby. But obviously, I'd never do that to a real baby.

I thought it was well done, he starts shaking it then smacking its head on the counter. Obviously he has just had enough... he doesn't do anything like this to the 2 real kids under is watch does he.

reply

I did Baby Think it Over as well and that was the worst thing I ever chose to do. I didn't sleep the whole weekend, I was in tears in the middle of the night and my read out had 7 cases on it.

oh god its a movie with ROBOTIC babies. Its not like he would do it with a real child. I found it hilarious when he popped his head off. If you don't find it funny then fine...but I think they have a sense of humour on sale at Wal Mart, go buy one!

It was cruel for that 'deciever in training' to turn up the psycho controls for the robot babies. He pretty much dictated the scenario going destructive. It was a given. Anyone would have lost it, with robots or not. But then, that is what lucifer does to make our lives a living he11. Make babies scream nonstop, make friends turn on you, loved ones treat you like *beep* strangers get insane ideas about you. It's all a part of living purgatory.

I found it a bit disturbing as well, but I looked at it as him not taking the test seriously and was just trying to turn off a machine.

it was the only part of the film that i liked. if he slowly killed the reverend towards the end of the film i woul have been satisfied and could have taken the whole film as a horror flick with a happy ending.

comedy movie? a man being tortured for 90 minutes is not a comedy movie.
