Wow now I feel dumb for not knowing that the Japanese guy was played by Rob Schneider

Parts of his scene were funny, but overall he was terrible. His accent was was really phony.

I could be wrong, but I think his accent was supposed to be overdone. That's part of what made him funny for me.

His mother is Filipino (Philipino?) so I suppose you could say he's half Asian. Technically, he's half Pacific Islander which isn't quite the same thing but I would bet that takes the air out of the tires of anybody claiming he's a race-baiter.

if filipinos are considered "pacific islander," then so are japanese people

but they're not. the philippines is part of southeast asia, and japan is northeast asia

What a hypocrite. Said he'd never work with mel gibson cause he's an anti-sematic, yet does the most racist degrading portrayal of an asian u can see. this attitude belonged in the 1930's fu manchu movies (not that it wasn't racist then). wake up, it's the 21st century

It took me a couple minutes to realize it but then I finally did while I was watching. Rob Schneider is GREAT in these Adam Sandler movies, so funny, too bad he can't make a good movie on his own. =(
