Nia's Me-Movie
After watching, "My Big fat Greek Wedding" I developed an unhealthy attraction to Nia. I fell in love with her and I enjoyed, "Connie and Carla" too. Watching this movie kind of ruined it though. It appeared as though she was looking at herself in a monitor in every scene, then my girlfriend, tired of hearing me go on about it, explained that Nia directed it. Did anyone else notice this, or the way she had the camera catch her right side a lot? Maybe I was just being hyper-sensitive after I found out she was the director but it seemed like she was posing unnaturally for a lot of it like she was watching her own performance off-stage in a monitor. She put off a weird vibe like she was trying to showcase her best expressions in some kind of ego trip.
