wubbzy...guy or girl???

in the songs it refers to wubbzy as "he" but it definatley sounds like a girl...i know a girl does his/her voice but the voice is WAY too feminine to be a male character

When I grow up, I'm going to Bovine University!

It's a boy, but i agree that the voice is very feminine. I thought it was a girl at first too.

He's very clearly a male; his voice isn't hard to accept as that of a very small and childlike creature. On top of that, if you notice, the females on this show are marked by those black things on the sides of their eyes--"eyelashes" of some sort, I assume.

Not to mention that Daisy finds Wubbzy cute. ;)

Not too bad if I watch at age 40! OK, OK...I usually watch it with my 7-year-old nephew.

reply

Don't worry, I'm 30 and I watch it with my 4 year old daughter, she LOVES Wubbzy

reply

I think its a guy 'cos he got all those kisses when he did the post on valentines day.
He is just little, and so he has a high squeaky voice. One of the hazzards of being small and having a small voicebox.

What does it matter? Do we really want to curse the next generation of kids to strict masculine/feminine roles and traits? Wubbzy is just a kid, give him/her a break!

reply

If he's a guy he's GAY.

Wubbzy is a boy, but he's voiced by a girl, which is probably why he sounds like one. The same person does the voices on a lot of other shows, like Vicky on The Fairly Oddparents and Azula on Avatar.

The actress who voices Wubbzy is Grey Delise. Plus, it's pretty obvious Wubbzy is a boy!

Plus the obviously overlooked Daphne on the original Scooby Doo.

reply

I doubt she was Daphne in the original Scooby Doo(a later version, yes)considering she wasn't even born when it first came out. SC came out in '69 and she was born in '72.

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

I always wondered that too. But I always thought is was a young boy with a high-pitched voice. There are boys like that.

But sometimes I think it's both. The creators probably wanted a unisex character, so boys and girls could watch it.
Wubbzy is not as obvious as Widget(girl) or Walden(boy). So its left to the imagination...

reply

all the girls in the show have pairs of black eyelashes next to their eyes.
