I thought American Psycho was a lot funnier. And more gruesome. Better written. More interesting.
Also, why do people think this all never happened?
And in regards to it being like American Psycho, the ending of American Psycho is meant to be ambiguous. The whole "it never happened 'cause Paul Allen isn't actually dead" theory isn't definite. The social commentary of the film is supposed to be how everyone is to caught up in their own *beep* that they have no idea what's going on around them. In that case, Bateman did kill those people, but everyone doesn't care enough to notice. And "Paul Allen" could be dead, but it's not the right "Paul Allen", it being that no one really knows anyone.
All in all, He was a Quiet Man was pretty good. It's rare to see Christian Slater in a good movie these days.
