No offence but seriously i didnot get the whole idea of this movie??
and what was the ending all about?what happened actuallly??i am really confused and irritated??

I totally agree. Bullies are free to belittle and abuse the next guy. Totally unfulfilled here. I guess the point is he never stood up for himself. Dumb.

So he should have shot the bullies? Really? That's the point - no matter how people treat you - or in this case how you "perceive" them to treat you - you you have no right to take their lives. not in our current justice system anyway. perhaps THE PURGE 4 will change all that.

Being bullied was a result of his being a weak member of the herd. It doesn't make the bullies right; it just makes Bob "weak."

It's a very cynical message, but that's the mindset the writer was in when he wrote the movie. When he later came back to the script as the director, he wasn't in such a dark place, but felt he had to be true to "the writer's vision."

It's a goofy mindset, considering that "the writer" is just the director himself at an earlier phase of his life.

Nonetheless, that's the message. The director's commentary spelled it out.
