Moved by this movie

I thought the movie was very good and the characters were protrayed excellently by the chosen actors. It made me think about life and how we as people live without truly knowing ourselves. I don't think there is any comparison to the "Da Vinci Code". I didn't read either book, but saw both movies, and the "Da Vinci Code" had no impact on my life or how I view it at all. It was just a nothing movie with no message to convey. It wasn't even a blockbuster as far as I am concerned. And the person that graded this movie based on the choices of the cast without even reading the book or seeing the movie is not to be listend to because they don't know what they are talking about and have no basis for their opinion, except that they value their own opinion too much and like to see their name in print.

But if anyone were to make a decision to not watch this movie based on that comment it would be a shame. That post should be deleted as it has no bearing on the value of the this movie.

I agree. I just saw this movie and, while I don't think it's "great," it held my attention. This is for thinking adults. It was a quality production and it has its moments. Recommended.

I have to agree with the OP. This really made me think about my own life and I was not aware of Neitzche ( other than "God is Dead") and now I want to learn more. I don't agree with his views on God but on other mattters I did. I thought the acting was decent but I hated the moustache.

People hear Nietzsche and automatically think "God is Dead" and assume he was a crusading Atheist. Not so. That was not his main point. I suppose we as humans tend to make a deduction even when we have very little information. I recommend that everyone who wishes to be enlightened read Nietzsche's work. Along with others such as Sartre, Kierkegaard, and Dostoevsky.
