Why aren't more people talking about it???

This great documentary is out...but no one is talking about it.
WHY????

Once again the Asian American Male is being left out in the cold...

sad but true

"Free your mind" "Use the force" "Be like water" - Morpheus, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Bruce Lee

I watched it on PBS yesterday, it was very informative. Perhaps there will be a Slanted Eye II featuring Asian woman in films someday.

I hate to state this, but there's a reason not a lot of people are discussing this. Market studies have found that Asian American consumption patterns resemble white American consumption patterns TOO closely. The lesson: Asian Americans need to patronize Asian American output and be VOCAL about it. That also means making significant noise when Asian Americans are portrayed in a bad light.

Asian American actors need to play more crackheads and drug dealers?

I'm kinda goin for that fact as well, cause Cary Takinawa who played in American Me as a loco jail convict working for the Mexican Mafia, or Mortal Kombat as Shang Tsung shows that if you're going to be a bad ass, go 200%. Right now he's currently playin Johnny Tsunami's Grandpa on the Disney Channel with a white wife. I mean that's pretty rad.

Also some the guys that complain on the Slanted Screen are even cool people. I mean Bobby Lee, is a joke. Even I would have clowned on that guy. But the fact is if they don't want to do those roles, DONT DO IT.

Unfortunately there is too many "actors" that need money out there or so they say.
