Slow Motion (minor spoiler)

When in doubt, make edit an with slow-motion....as if the film wasn't slow enough....boy....it's so amateur....also, love all the rain..and no ripples on any water shot....yep..this attempt at a film was horrible...want a good family-gets-stalked film?....Cape Fear..1962 version...or a good flare gun scene?..Dead Calm.....

FYI, even Dead Calm wasn't the first flare gun scene. There was a flare gun scene in a 1957 film called "Seven Waves Away" (AKA "Abandon Ship!" and "Seven Days from Now"), starring Tyrone Power.

How do they make it rain in the movies? I figure if they were outside it was really raining. I mean, if they were inside the studio people could spray water on a window or something. I just don't get how they can make it rain in the forest.

They use pipes, hoses, and tanker trucks to create rain when they need to, and a lightning machine for the flashes. Of course, they usually try to shoot those kinds of scenes on cloudy days, or have the CGI dept go through and create clouds.
