sharecare to tell me why. the landscape/areas of filming are beautiful, good actors, starts out a bit slow, but has a nice pace of action and suspense. it is a good dvd release and much better than some stuff i have seen on HBO and other DVD's
sharePlease enlighten me, why I even should watch this movie, if I want to watch beautyful landscapes and areas, I would rather watch David Attenborough's "Planet Earth". Or is there something valuable, I could learn about the middle eastern conflict. And what is wrong with HBO movies ?
Some good actors would prostitute themselves for good money, so how really works your measuring stick ? I'm not particular fond of unreasonable violence,
when it comes to action movies. So what is there reason to resort to such extreme measures ?
it is a movie about contractors finding a lost teammate (former SEALs) there is an added horror/supernatural element of the spirit of genghis kahn, whose spirit warriors create havoc with the SEALs, taking their toll on their nerves (and bodies0 it is a good storyline and has a realistic gunfight at the pakistani border scene which was choreographed by an actual former Navy SEAL with combat experience. it is definately worth a look.

Alright schmuck or schmoe or whatever. The movie sucked, if you have to post on here to defend it then you know it sucked. Just because your dad had something to do with the movie doesn't make it a good movie. I say your dad because I would hope that an adult would not act so immaturely as to criticize anyone who truthfully speaks out negatively on this movie. There was not one redeeming quality about this movie. The story, acting, tactics, weapon handling, and plot line was all amateur at best. For god sakes there was a lot of spraying and praying on the part of the actors. Madsen was a hip shooter. On the first fire fight most of the time no shells were being expended from the ejection port on their weapons.The weapon manipulation was terrible. On the scene where they have the firefight at the border it was like GI Joe lots of shooting no one gets hurt but the bad guys even though they were all standing out in the open. The good guys seem to dislike weapon sights. As stated before it was a sorry movie. That`s all I can say. I usually cut action movies some slack on this kinda stuff but since your wanting to split hairs as to greatness of the military tactics I had to bust you out. You can defend it all you want the fact is it was in the 1 dollar bin at blockbuster for a reason..And no, it wasn't worth the dollar. Working on a movie and telling everyone else how good it is no matter how bad it sucks kills any credibility you may have had. That's like saying "My mom says I`m cool"
shareDitto. I'm currently IN Afghanistan, and thought this movie sucked. I made it about 20 minutes in and was bored out of my mind.

My dad just watched this on Netflix. He is ill so now he has more time to watch movies than he ever had.
He likes all types of movies even some pretty awful one.
I watched a bit of this movie here and there. It was like you keep coming back to it because it was THAT awful.
The plot had to many plot holes and they can't seem to keep it accurate. It was the main downfall of the movie.
WOW, a boy (ghost or whatever) starts to drum opens his mouth wide then this causes ONE man to run himself into the wall killing himself. They go check him "Oh he is dead" and then some genius is like "Something isn't right here".
No kidding!
It was just awful and even my dad who likes a lot of these awful movies was like that is one of the worst movies I ever saw. I asked him what happened at the end he was like the heck if he knew.
I get that someone wants to defend a movie because someone worked on it. It is petty and immature to attack someone due to their review of the movie. Make a post about what you like about the movie. I have seen little on here about what was redeeming about the movie.

This movie was AWFUL and I like Michael Madsen!
If you don't have much to begin with, then you don't have much to lose.
