user comment: 'validation for claims of inaccuracy'

Did anybody else catch that bit about how the user quoted on this film's main IMDB page "was unable to find validation for [critics'] claims of inaccuracy"?

Hmm. Seems to me that's exactly the problem with any true-believer kind of thing: The truth of the assertion is assumed, and it's up to critics to disprove it conclusively.

Somewhere, we turned logic upside down, and the world is going to hell because of it.

That's not to say the film may not be truthful in some aspects, or several, or most, or all. I'm just saying that the relationship of some viewers to this film, or any film espousing a certain ideology or a certain politically significant view of the facts, evidences a serious breakdown with rationality. Anybody can say anything on the Net; anybody with enough resources can make a film that says anything, and if it's attractive enough, it'll pull some fans. Where in this process do the assertions themselves get seriously tested?

Well said, wish more people thought that way. I'd be happy if they thought at all.
