this show went down hill when the woodcock's stopped being on the show.

After that season without the woodcock's and they changed Allison from Kristin Ritter this show wasn't watchable anymore. Then season 4 when Doug broke the 4th wall that was just corny. Then they changed Allison again and again using an actress they already used for a different role before nonetheless. Smh just horrible trying to be edgy.

I came here to start a thread saying the same thing! I really enjoyed the show when the Woodcock's were on it but I felt it went downhill when they left.

reply

Honestly, I liked it in every form that it played out.

I often let Comedy Central run while doing other things in the evening and strangely enough its still on despite being dead since years. I think it was never a good show even in the "consistent" seasons, being to formulaic from the start and having bland characters. As said before, its more notable for its desaster production in the end, where you really could see how they struggled to scrap a season together.

I actually found the Woodcocks a bit nauseating to be honest.

The first episode I saw with JB Smoove as Kenny, I hated it as he seemed way over the top, but he actually settled into the role quite well over time.

I am still watching the final season and quite enjoying it. Never really liked Doug when he was recurring, but he is actually pretty funny in the later episodes. I also quite like the principal who hates Eddie.

I thought the show had some funny moments and I do enjoy watching it, even though it definitely had some problems. It's interesting to watch a show which is so obviously flawed. The writing was very uneven with occasional random flashes of brilliance. I particularly liked the episodes with Martin Mull (Whitey) and Nick Bakay (Karl). I didn't like the show towards the end when Joy started working at the travel agency.

Joy worked at the travel agents from the beginning.

In later episodes she worked at Eddie's school when the travel agents inexplicably became a sandwich shop overnight and she turned up for work to discover she had no place of work and thus no job.

I agree. I enjoyed the interplay between the Starks and the Woodcocks. Attempting to replace Jeff and Steph with Kenny was an exercise in futility. Then the show continued to degrade right until the end. Shame.
