Doug thinking he is on a sitcom
Anyone else absolutely hate this? Not funny at all and just dumb.
shareAnyone else absolutely hate this? Not funny at all and just dumb.
shareWhat, you didn't like the part where he admitted to Dr. Balik that he felt like he had three or four different girlfriends?
shareI thought it was kinda cute. If they don't continue it that is.
shareand when Doug & Ally talked about other sitcoms and TV Shows where a number of different actors & actresses played the same character on several old shows like Rosanne -- it was as if they prodeucers are admitting how annoying it is to constantly change people playing the same character.
shareWhen they first had this happen i thought it was funny because I thought that would be the only time it happened, but they just kept doing it.
It got a little old, however, the part where Doug was in the tree and the black guy skates by was by far the best part of this gag.
I think it's pretty original as far as I know...and I love it.
The series has only gotten better since it appears to be filmed with reckless abandon.

I hate that they keep changing actors for the daughter.
shareYeah, Timm Sharp's character is quite possibly the most unique, interesting part of 'Til Death.
Good Times
Yes, I can't stand that bit either. I've recently been DVRing the show and find it so displeasing that I fast-forward through those scenes.

Ugh, I can't stand it either. And constantly changing the daughter is getting on my nerves too.
shareHow many Allison's are they going to have anyway?
shareI guess they will stop with this 4th girl as the show was unfortunately cancelled recently. Too bad as I always look forward to Death. Especially since they added the Doug knowing he's on a sitcom plot. I think it's high-larious.
shareWhat's even more sad is that the cast thought they were on a sitcom!
shareI like how he points out the impossiblities that occur in sitcoms all the time, like cast changes (i.e. Darrin syndrom) or when the television is just turned on it's about the subject at hand.
shareo well
Nan Adams, age twenty-seven. She was driving to California; to Los Angeles. She didn't make it.
I could not disagree more. I think that one of the funniest and most original bits ever done in a sitcom.
Doug's my favorite character on the show, anyway.
