Most brutal execution on the show?

I thought it was pretty horrific when they chopped off Culpepper's head and Dereham puked, after which he was hanged drawn and quartered. Culpepper sucks though.

Also Anne Boleyn's was just sad really.

The worst one was Cromwells. They got the executioner drunk the night before.

'Saint' Thomas More burning the reformer at the stake was pretty rough.

It's Thomas MORE, as any "tudor history afficianado[sic]" would know.

Oh Sorry Mam. I have big fingers and am typing on an I phone. Sometimes hold a letter or press the wrong number. 1000 Pardons. You must be the Tudor Governess spell check troll. Forgive me Lady Pedantic.

The boiling in oil of the cook/poisoner.

One of the men who was part of the Northern Uprising when Jayne Seymour's brother sodomized him with a burning hot poker. And Francis Doreham, being hanged, drawn and quartered.

They're all brutal because as I understand it, beheading isn't as "pain-free" as once believed because the beheaded remain conscious for something like a few seconds after their head is chopped off. Hopefully, the beheaded are too shocked to realize what's happened in those few seconds.

But boiling the cook in oil, sodomizing the rebel with a burning hot poker and hanging until half-dead, then drawn and quartered, in my opinion are the worst.

Having said that, I don't think any executions, even modern day methods, especially lethal injection, are "pain-free". They're all cruel and unusual without exception.
