Nick loved Ellen but was disillusioned when he realized what her hotel company was doing. It must have been heart wrenching to write the article and expose Ellen and her company.

Such is life I suppose. The article didn't just expose Ellen, but the Thai government too. I think it showed him 'finding' his porpose in life again.

I was really surprised at how uncaring or seemingly indifferent were the hotel builders and the Thai government to the plight and feelings of the villagers. After loosing many family members to the tsunami and then loosing their land as well was just heart-breaking.

??? Are you talking about the newspaper reporter who didn't love anybody, including himself? And the hotel manager he met briefly three times? That these two were in love??? HUH???
