Nice little movie

I rented this film last night not knowing what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a little rough around the edges in certain places but that really didn't take away from things.

Yep. Very good writing and a lot of nice moments. It’s comparable to Bottle Rocket by Wes Anderson. 7/10

The cadence may be a little slow for most viewers but the dialog was meaningful and the acting very good for a low budget indie. It felt like a Jim Jarmusch film in ways.

Yeah, it was rough sometimes, but not enough to distract from its good parts. I really liked the low-key charm and humour.

It was on TMN so I just watched it.
At the beginning of the movie I wasnt liking it, but after the end, I have grown to really like this movie.

My reaction too. I had to warm up to this film. The lead character is just a tad too "low energy" to get your attention at first. By the end of the film, I liked him. He was a lot of guys I knew back in the day.

Mac (Daniel Wilson) was so real. When I first saw him in the swimming pool scene, I didn't feel him... a little too clumsy in the character. But the rest of it really rang true. Next time I see it, I'll pay attention to that scene, and see if my first impression was just off.
