Am I crazy or....

Was there another movie quite a few years back with this same story line? In the movie I remember,the driver hits the man and he is stuck in the windshield. She parks in the garage and leaves him there and goes out to check on him and even give him food and water every once in a while. Eventually he ends up dying. I don't remember the ending or the actors but I swear I have seen this.Could someone please validate this so I can go back to believing I am sane? LOL
