Do not watch this movie. Uwe Boll knows he sucks at filmmaking so now he's turning to making "controversial" terrible films with Postal and Seed to get attention.
In Seed, he has a baby being thrown against a metal pole... a dog being skinned alive... babies and dogs decomposing... he's just a sick, poor excuse for a human being and filmmaker. There was no message behind this film at all.
Who are you to tell people what not to watch ? My advice is if it interests you, watch it and then make up YOUR OWN MIND about the film. As for me, I sort of enjoyed it, wasn't a masterpiece but it passed the time. 6/10. I also gave the same mark to Postal.

Amazing, mider1985! You really HAVE seen it all! You have quite the range when it comes to essential, obvious classics that nearly every horror fan has seen! I love how you mentioned that you saw the uncut version of "Suspiria" which clearly demonstrates how 'hardcore' you are and how you know what true disgust is. It's time to graduate to more diverse filmmaking, casual observer.
"ive seen it all" and then you proceed to list a few moderately gory mainstream movies. Watch Salo, Subconcius Cruelty, Revolver, Serbian Film and the like, then talk about seeing it all. This movie was tame in comparison.

but since im such a nice guy, ill tell you, i thought the movie was crap, it had so many ridiculous flaws that i was laughing through most of it at the absurdity of the characters and their actions. i felt nothing toward the characters, including both the villain and his victims, simply because it was so unbelievably stupid i made no form of connection to the movie at all.

Do you not get that it's not up to you what some can put in a movie? For me, the baby thing was the one thing that really hit a nerve and made me cringe. But thats why I wanted to watch this movie, to get scared. It's October for Pete's sake.

i couldnt get past the part where seed kepted hiting the women in the face. I can watch a turtle getting killed in cannibal holocaust but not a cgi death scene like this. so much anger in this film

Yes it did disturb me and yes I did have huge issues with PETA allowing the opening scene to have real footage of Chinese fur trade and the cruelty they inflict on animals. I already commented about that.
I read some of these reviews before I bought the film. I bought it anyway because, as I said, I'm a horror fan.
The cover is ridiculous showing a ghoulish girl on the electric chair and also holding a knife. Where did that come from? I think they need SOMETHING to try and sell this flick. There are no cute ghoulies in this movie. Just one big, fat, sick *beep*
It sucks, in my opinion (not yours). It's inappropriate, unnecessarily moody, long scenes that go nowhere, senseless violence (baby being thrown against a wall and being locked in a cell and made to rot), has no social redemption, no message, no real plot (just an idea or a premise). I think he made it simply to make the viewer sick and repulsed.
Again, just my opinion and I voiced it because that's what you do here. Agree or not, we still have the opportunity to voice our thoughts and feelings.

just finished watching this after your wonderful recommendation and i enjoyed it and so did my girlfriend. you dont even see that baby being thrown at the pole, it cuts away at the last moment. i think youll find the baby decomposing was probably not real! is your problem that its a baby? cus adults being killed is acceptable? your obviously entitled to your opinion but its nowhere near as bad as i thought it would be reading some of the posts on here. good dark slasher film with a proper nasty ending that ph u cks hollywoods usual twee endings right up the ar se. 7 outa 10 from me.

I don't know why I was attacked when I commented about this. I was the one that said we should stop fighting about it. All I was trying to say is not that it needs a message. I just, in MY opinion (which is what this forum is here for - our opinions) not a good film. Yes it sickened me which takes a lot to do. But no, it doesn't need a "message" but for God sake it needs a plot. This film's "plot" was spotty to say the least. The acting sucked and the scenes were long stretches of going nowhere. It reminded me of painfuly long and weak high school films.
I think for anyone who says that opinions like this aren't valid, and they just love to see films with torture, then I advise getting some porn snuff films or something that has no plot and is there just to get you nauseous.
I'm not saying I've seen it "all" but I've seen a sh*tload of horror/slashers because I like them. The ones I've enjoyed are ones that have a plot with a little tension, a story arc, character development, something that makes you wanna bite your nails. This film was one long painful bout of the director's diarrhea. He should stop film making and turn that money over to someone who knows what they're doing.
