Message from the REAL Uwe Boll to all IMDB users.

I e-mailed Uwe Boll today to ask if Boll-KG is really him. This is his reply:

but here is my message you can post to all IMDB users

Here is Uwe Boll. I don't go on message boards but I read message boards. I wanna congratulate you all that you finally managed it to help to destroy me. You should be all really proud of you. Also IMDB should be proud in opening up my movies for votes almost a year before they are getting released and giving the 1 point votes between 200 and 300% more impact as the 9 or 10 point votes. KING has a 4.1 rating - but the real rating would be 6.2 if every vote would count as 1 vote. I was the only independent director/producer not financed or attached to a Major or a daughter company of a Major who made big movies. I worked since 1991 my ass off to get into movies and I worked every single day since then. You hate me, you wrote against me, you hate my movies and you made the critics hate me and you made the theaters not believing in me. Good job. Now POSTAL, SEED, 1968-TUNNEL RATS - maybe the best three movies I did will not get out there in the theaters anymore.
You prefer movies like FIRST SUNDAY, ONE MISSED CALL, 27 DRESSES, CLOVERFIELD - good choices.
I wish you all that you will get the chance to make movies on your own.

Such a sad message to read. This makes me never wanting to be working in the entertainment business. At least not directing game based movies.

bah, Uwe have made alot of *beep* movies but i have to conceer that rating movies before seeing them is really lame. I think that Seed is a really cool movie FOR ONCE that Uwe made and that other movies in the future have some possibility to become better movies.

First off, Saying that its from Uwe Boll doesn't make it so.

Why is "his" message so poorly written? Some of it is completely unreadable. Uwe Boll sucks.

So, a filmmaker must have perfect grammar, hmmm... and for the record, you shouldn't use a capital letter after a comma.

I don't think the implication that a film director should have good grammar or not is the case in point here. The fact that the message IS indeed unreadable is actually the relevant point.

That having been said, if he's attempting to defend his case, then perhaps it wouldn't have hurt to have used a dictionary or something.

By the way, just to make it clear, I have no opinion either way on Uwe Boll, I have not seen any of his films.

Ok, first of all, Uwe second langauge is English so he doesn't have perfect grammar. I know him personally and I can tell you something I am sick of seeing is all this garbage bashing him for no reason.

OK, House of the Dead sucked, we get it and I agree it sucked. Was it really worse than ONE MISSED CALL, or any of those DISASTER MOVIEs? No, but Boll is reemed on it still.

IMDB does open up the voting on his films alone to bash them. BLOODRAYNE was screened for 171 people and half of the comments after were positive. Thats how many seats were in the house for that pre-screening. The next day some how, IMDB said that over 367 people voted NEGATIVE against it. Causing it to go into the bottom 100 list. It's not fair at all, there are people on here who bash him left and right SIMPLY because they want to see him fail. They have a vendetta against him for HOUSE OF THE DEAD which is a horrid film, but it's not the worst movie ever made.

His movies aren't that bad and they are getting alot better. People need to grow up and stop bashing him off him alone. No matter what he does he will not make it now, but here is the thing....HE HAS MADE IT! He has worked with actors and people that most these BOLL BASHERS will never get to meet.

Give it up already on him people. BTW, this is a message to all the boll bashers and people who have never seen his movies but feel the need to be COOL on a message board.

From another post about his movie Seed:

For 5 minutes we have to endure a barrage of real-life footage of animals being tortured and killed. Whimpering foxes being skinned alive and beaten. Baby seals being clubbed... a skinned animal that looked like a dog suffering, obviously dying very slowly, dogs getting their skulls crushed in by heavy boots. Dr. Boll apparently doesn't understand that by revolting an audience with animal torture he's not a successful horror director.

This comes directly from the Ain't It Cool site. How disgusting and deplorable! ... I am not spending my money on a movie that promotes animal torture...

I'm not at all a fan of such meanness when done with special effects. I WILL NOT watch real-life footage of it and I definitely don't want any of my money giving the mistaken impression of approval.

If this is his idea of entertainment, I intend to avoid everything with his name attached to it.

My best response to films like this is from "Butterflies Are Free":

When Mrs. Baker doesn't like the gruesome death scene Ralph has planned for Jill's character in the play he's directing, he tells her:

[Mrs. Baker] I know, Mr. Santori. So is diarrhea, but I wouldn't classify it as entertainment.

Honestly I do kind of feel bad for the guy. Yes his movies are bad but his intentions are good. He really loves making movies. He isn't hurting anyone, and doesn't deserve the hate, but that is the world we live in. People love to hate and have a common enemy. We see it every day. Hillary, Islam, Simon Cowel, etc lol. I buy all of Uwes movies because I actually think they are entertaining in a SciFi channel so bad its good sort of way. Also the effects and action usually aren't too bad. This movie however I am not sure about because some of the animal violence looks real and I am completely against that.

Losers, every single person that voted without watching it.

Alone in the Dark was real bad along with BloodRayne and House of the Dead but I want to see the guy succeed because he is actually basing his movies on stuff I want to see.

I just think it's sad because it's not like this guy has done anything personal to any of you but the way people are attacking him is very very personal. Just a shame to think that some of these people think they are better than Uwe when they are the most bottom of the barrel life form ever by acting like this. People need to grow up and think about how you would like to be treated in these exact situations.

Uwe mate your movies might suck but you rock dude. Keep on keepin on I say, one day you'll blow me away with something decent I reckon.

I agree, it is a shame and really really stupid that its fashionable to knock the guy when hes just making entertaining crap and nothing more. I mean its not like hes trying to change the world or saying anything profound and to be honest its not really that much different from the crap tarantino or rodriguez makes now if it entertains then it does its job. In fact I'd rather watch any uwe boll movie than deathproof or doomsday any day. Theres always been the kind of films that uwe makes. If you wanna pick on a director pick on oliver stone for being a preachy over politised twat and trying to be subversive. Its got to the point now where, even if makes an amazing film, it will still be panned critically regardless.

Theres the internet for you.

Well, if Boll is reading this, I prefer Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins and Plan 9 From Outer than Seed, sorry Boll, but it just flat out sucked bricks, just stick with producing, and if you write or direct again, then get a co-writing or co-directing credit please.

Sounds like the poor baby is crying as to why people don't like the crappy movies he makes.

Maybe he needs to figure out what people WANT to see, then make movies with that type of story behind them....but making them just different enough as ot to be copying.

*beep* u A**hole. These are movies that I want to see. I'm sick of always listening to the music that people want to hear or seeing movies people want to see. Most music and movies that people want to see are crap. Uwe Boll makes movies he propably thinks the stories are great, and he want to see them in a movie. So he makes a movie. There are a lot of people who think "I could've done that better". But you didn't. You sat on your lazy ass and did NOT direct House of the Dead and his other films. BTW I really thought Postal was hilarious. And Seed was great.

If this is really true, I am not feeling sad about Boll at all. I first heard of him because of movie games, even thought it was an attempt games are not designed for this sector. Those so called "gamers" constantly mocking him for his game based movies cant even live with the theory of making a sequel from another company (For example, Silent Hill series. Homecoming and Downpour were not bad games, not the best but they all been bashed by anonymous ignorants, mixed with a feeling of racism just because company moved from Japanese to Americans.) so how can they live with the idea of something going live action at all? I am not even getting into haters and religious zealots here, this movie was his best work I've ever seen. Accept it or not horror/gore is a genre and we are not watching it because we love it, but we love to thrill of fight for survival.

As I stated, Internet is a very sad and lonely place. Boll should not base his artworks against a bunch of cowards that cant lift a finger against him in real life, but say everything against him on a dimension without identity. The simple idealization of internet trolling. Once you stop identification, this is what happens. There will be no point for humiliation nor respect and those single savages laughing themselves in front of a monitor will be the only thing you can have.

Internet, the greatest creation of the world. Sad but its true, its the only place where failed people can cast themselves away from real world to achieve something.

And no, in case you are wondering I am not an old geezer thinking old times were great compared to this s*it we have today. I am only 20 years old, yet I hate this "second world" that cannot be undone.

You have been directing for over 20 years and you still havent learnt the basics. as much as i like your attitude, Mr Boll, you just suck as a moviemaker. and i have seen most of your movies, check my voting history if you want, i never vote without watching.

Postal was probably his best movie, and probably because it was intended to be crazy and over the top.
