I liked it but I didn't like DiCaprio in the film at all. He just seemed to be playing the same character from The Departed minus the Boston accent. Scott gives great direction and Russell Crowe gave probably the most underrated performance of 2008.
shareHmm, i kinda felt the wuite opposite. i liked Leio, but i thought crowe was below his level. Mark Strong kicked ass as usuall.

It's strange to see good movie like Body of lies getting 7 rating...should've been close to 8 or so...in fact The departed was over-rated
I liked the story,Leo was again outstanding with his acting skills..brilliant acting
why did it go unnoticed?
The reason that went unnoticed is because it wasn't Slumdog Millionaire(which sucked so bad). The fact was it wasn't Oscar bait and it wasn't an independent film, because The Academy was still on its bender for nominating indie films or smaller films that weren't involving major stars.
shareit did much better overseas. something like 70million international
only did 40 million domestic.
the film cost about 100 million when you consider marketing costs..
so it broke even, but I guess the studios were expecting a 150+ million box office, even close to 200 considering the lead actors and directors..
but people didn't respond to it..
