You 'Americans' don't understand.

Too many Americans and foreigners are judging this film badly; come to the UK, stay here for a while and you might actually understand this film.

People do not understand that these are the consequences these criminals must face in order to have some order in the UK. For too long our streets have been filled with violence/knife crime etc and this film attacks that fact.

Sean Bean's character is an inspiration to me and many others.

We must clean up the mean streets of Britain.

Sounds like America.

What they do understand is that they were making cliched vigilante movies about 25 years before this effort.

I've lived in the Uk my whole life and i think this is utter garbage. A crap film is a crap film, wherever you are from.

reply

The film was comical. Unfortunately, I don't think that was the intention.

"No Silicon Heaven? Preposterous! Where would all the calculators go?"

reply

The constant shake cam nearly made me throw up my dinner!

reply

Sort of Cyguration but see the thing is our police force is sort para-military that now interact with other law enforcement agencies. Perhaps the UK don't have it like that which I think we're different.

im American and i get it...

"then again, I'm American and I get the vibe that a lot of you guys don't like us very much."

Have you considered that its not "us" so much as "you"?

I think it's not so much your foreign policy or education - more to do with around 8 years back a lot of kids got internet in their bedrooms in the U.S. & completely dominated these boards with adolescent flag waving *beep* & trying to have arguments with 'Europeans' . It took me about a year before i realised i was wiping the floor with Kids lol . It's much better nowadays .

That which does not Kill me makes me Stranger

I must live a sheltered life here in Canada. You really need to be on the inside to understand the inside so stuff like this to people who are civilized, you know the type that work a job 9-5, pay a mortage/rent, pay taxes, go about their daily business without much fan fare don't really understand the seedy nature of the underworld or crime world but if people say this is what they have in England or America, it must be really bad. I recently also watched Harry Brown with Michael Caine which also paints a very bleak picture of England/UK. To be honest, there are a lot of *beep* around in this world no matter what part of the globe you're in. I've held the position that man are no different from animals; the strong survive. It's up to you if you want to be a predator or prey.

Think about it.
