I CAN'T GET THAT DAMNED SONG OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!

POP GOES MY HEART ARRRRGH!!!!!

I saw this film yesterday and that song keeps playing over and over in my head that I'm having to listen to other music to try and drown it out but to no avail.

I even have myself doing the 'motorcycle thrust' move they do around the house which my 20 month old son finds hilarious. For a 26 year old male, I feel quite embarrassed at my shameful acts :(

The 1st step is admitting you have a problem.
I don't know what the 2nd step is. I haven't gotten that far.

Sad to admit I downloaded the soundtrack, mostly for the 2 ballads that Adam Schlesinger wrote.
What was interesting (if you're into that sort of thing) is that the demo version of "Way Back into Love" that was written in Huge Grunt's apartment, contains the bridge that isn't otherwise heard until the end, and the final verse, that at that stage in the movie Drew Barrymore's character hasn't written yet. Just saying.

As long as we're confessing, I also got the soundtrack and I even spent a few furiously obsessed hours searching the web for "Invincible" (which plays over the end credits, not included on the soundtrack) and went to Haley Bennett's myspace page and considered stalking her and ...uh why is everyone suddenly quiet

Hmm. We liked the music quite a lot then?

I saw this movie for on cable about three years ago and I still can't get that song out of my head. Bad movie, but great opening with the 80's music video. I mean seriously GREAT. The whole video is so damn funny and that song is one of the catchiest I've ever heard. Can't believe it didn't get a nomination for Best Original Song.

Oh God, same here. I've got 'way back to love' stuck in my head after watching this on TV last night. What's the cure?!

It's great that other people have the same trouble. I went to see this when it first came out at the pics in 2007 and for about three days afterwards I could NOT get 'Pop goes my Heart' out of my head.

lol same! I saw it last night and i'm sitting here laughing at the music video next thing a few hours later i'm singing it lol. Its that whole 80's style song, those tunes can really stick to me and I can't stand them.

That song was in the movie? Obviously due to its being used in a 1935 Warner Bros.cartoon which used to play, and WB and their partner produced/released it..
Just saw a review:
and the video and it is NOT the studio's 1930s cartoons song, which as a point of fact was "Pop Goes YOUR Heart"...near coincidence..
