What exactly does "offering Little Chenier for sales at Cannes" mean? Doesn't Cannes end tomorrow?

Thanks. Any news about this project is good.

Yes, let's hope. I hear all positive news about the premiere, but I'm not rushing out to get a tux until something official is announced, hopefully late this month.

What 'offering for sales' means is literally that. The producers and production company are trying to offer the movie up for sale at any film festivel, in this case Cannes, for worldwide distribution. It's kind of like Ebay of the movie set. What happens is that whatever movie it is, film companies like say Touchstone, Gamercy Relaseing, Tri-Star or any other subsidiary of a major movie house like Columbia, 20th Century Fox bid on the movie and buy it for distribution. Whoever wins, gets to be the ones to distribute the final product. Now they may as the filmmakers to alter the movie, or just leave it as is, but the point is that it would get seen by the wider audience. I hope that helped.
