What amazed me was that none of "the resistance" had the braincapacity to even(!!?) try to wear some fat-ass titanium (or better...) full-body armour, and constantly seeking new weapons (Which we, as an audience never gets to 'experience' in this saga. They just stands there shooting their asses off, not ducking, using old (Very..?) weapons (Automatic machineguns รก la old)) and other means to defeat these sluggish drones.
Then it's the sickly annoying thing that bugged me since a few minutes into the movie: The drones are cyborgs, sure, but they DO HAVE ARMOUR, yet the get shot and die as easy as a human would. Also when they're hit (Punch / kick / metal-rod / gun-shaft) like above the weist they die (Heeeelllooo!?).
If I would ever create some type of supersoldier I wouln't;
A: Use living tissue - Too messy and risk of infections - Too expensive! Way so!
B: Have the strongest alloy known to man (Or machine perhaps..?) in every joint and AROUND (<-PEAK!!!) all circuitry to prevent shortcuts
C: Have them aiming right and not shooting several metres besides the targets.
D: Having them STFU instead of that B-ish grunting noice that made me annoyed.
E: Never (EVER FFS!!!!)in the first place having some super-mega-computer running the show, but still keep humans in the loop - Revenge get's much sweeter then, from, in this case, the resistance-groups point of view...
I like the movie in one way, but how it's played out, with all the tech- stuff they got soooooooo wrong made it bad... Really bad.
Katee Sackhoff was actually the first reason I saw this movie. I like her, and after having seen her on BSG, I didn't think it would be THAT bad, but boy - Was I wrong.
Damn if I lived in Hollywood, was connected etc. I'd be damned if I wasn't a movie-consultant on the tech-side!
Which, BTW, got me to think about that disc that she retreived, as we can see, two HD- disks screwed together, which was soo lame. At this day and age; WTF not use a simple mem-stick (If we're doing it retro-style, as they did with all that P.O.S equipment (Old P.O.S radios, pre- Vic 20's etc), it just raised my body temp a few notches)
To summise: W T bleeding F were they F thinking when the F did this F movie C A-h's.
Got a bit angry there at the end... Well. Sh!t happens.
