I don't know if I'm the only one, but Tyra acting so entitled about college really annoyed me. She could have easily gone to community college for a couple years and transferred wherever she wanted as long as she kept her grades up.
Why did she act like the ONLY way to go to college was to go to university directly after high school? And why didn't any of the other characters even mention this to her? What a terrible guidance counselor lol.
You're not the only one. I find that TV shows in general are incredibly snobby about community colleges.

shareI think that was definitely part of it; the desire/need to get the hell out of Dillon. Going to community college would mean she still lived there, and that's part of what she wanted to get away from.
