I dont believe the cutting off the finger was scripted for two reasons:
1: The tip of his finger was on the end of the cigar cutter
2: A couple of minutes after he chops it off he holds his hand under his severed finger and not only do you see a pool of blood in his cupped hand - but also blood dripping from Pritchs finger into the pool of blood.
Like Pritch and .. I forget who, only saw it once, having an argument and then arranging a fight for the next day. Totally scripted.
It was Dainton; and seeing as how you only saw the movie once doesnt make me believe your firm argument - in that saying it was scripted, as well as not knowing who one of the main characters was.
If you were a fan of the series {as I am} you would know that Dainton - or the 'other guy' according to you - and Pritchard are best friends, and have been for 15 or so years. They even made a skate video Pritchard v Dainton where they fought each other in a boxing ring before this movie - so I doubt it was a spare of the moment thing a second time round.

Dirty Sanchez crew said it themselves, watch the DVD special features, there is SCRIPTED scenes like the japanese mafia scene,, some stunts are pre-ordained and thought of, but the performance of the stunts were real, they have a funny little piss take scene on the build up to the stunt, then actually perform the stunt

Just finished watching the movie again with the commentary and he did get his finger cut off as Pritchard said:
"I cut a fair chunk off - like from the end to the nail. It was ridiculous cos it took like two months to heal up after I had to get plaster and bandages and $h!t on the end of my fu(k!n finger."
Daint then said:
"Next time you see pritchards right finger, check it out - you can actually tell its a fair bit shorter than the others."
followed by what Jim Hickey said:
"My mate, whos a huge fan still has that cigar cutter and the end of your finger....he actually framed the cutter and has that bit of your finger frozen - ya know, like Walt Disney?" {laughs all round}.

It's like mythbusters. Even though the dialogue in between may be scripted, the actual scene they play out is real. They may have arranged the fight to happen, but the ifght scene would have been real. And I don't think it's fake, because he only cut off the tip, going a whole finger would have been too extreme.

Why would someone fake that it was just a scratch now if it was the tip of his penis that would have been something to see.
