The Red Hot Chili Peppers song over the end credits was ridiculous!

it felt so out of place, to end this intense psychological thriller/horror movie with a party jam about California! further, this movie has NOTHING remotely to do with California so the song had no thematic relevance at all! it really took me out of the movie and felt so out of place!

the only reason I can think of as to why they used it is because they were trying to appeal to a wider (read: American) audience and through market research or something they were told that "Red Hot Chili Peppers are a really popular band in America! People will pay to see anything they are involved with!" so the producers paid to get the song over the credits in an attempt of appealing to Americans, regardless of how out of place it was! I remember another Japanese Anime that did a similar thing, Pokemon the first movie, which had a song by American girl pop band M2M "Don't say you love me" on its soundtrack, even though NOTHING in the movie was remotely relevant to the song!

it was ridiculous!
