Just thought of a perfect teaser trailer (NA live action) .

I put this on the actual movie board as well, but I thought I'd get more of a response here. Anyway...

You see Light sitting in his room watching T.V. Then you get a small monolog about how he's sick of criminals getting off, due to the broken criminal justice system. Then it pans to him pulling out the death note. You see him right in it (maybe we see Ryuuk behind him briefly), then the it pans to the T.V. were we see that he's watching the Casey Anthony verdict, Live.

It pans back to the Death note, and we see Casey Anthony's name just as he closes the book. Then we here the T.V. and pandemonium occur, as reports say that Casey just collapsed on the floor, and she's not breathing. It then stays fixed on the death note, and he finishes his monolog, as the death note stands out, and fades to black. Either of these songs being in the trailer, would work for me.
