Just finished re-watch in all 5 seasons

I just finished re-watching this series. It is great. I was so upset when it was canceled. There were still plenty of storylines to cover. I loved Beau Bridges as Brody and would have loved for him and Nora to marry. He would have made a good match for Nora as well as the new Walker patriarch.

Also, Kitty was pregnant and unmarried with the possibility of her cancer returning. Sarah had just gotten married and found out that Brody was her father. Kevin and Scotty had just gotten their birth son back as well has having recently adopting a pre-teen girl. Justin was dating an old flame who was married. And Saul had just been proposed to.

With all these stories started, it's a shame it was canceled.

I just finished the very last episode last night! I binge watched it on Hulu. I am SO SAD they didn't continue on. It would have been nice to have an official final season. Though, I was glad they didn't leave any big cliffhangers though.

I could have seen a story with Rebecca coming back for Justin too.

Now I'm sad it's over.

I happy it finished; the storylines were played out and turning into a soap.

Though I do like Beau Bridges; that may have been the best thing about that season.

The storylines were comical - how Kitty managed to get pregnant is a medical miracle - even before the cancer and chemo she couldn't conceive; the tried IVF and it didn't work. Especially since she is a few years older now as well.

The whole K/S baby storyline was ridiculous; why didn't they see Michelle in the hospital after she claimed the miscarriage. Why wasn't the contract mentioned at all; she had no right to the baby - so there was no custody issue.

Now, Taylor - I liked the addition of her; always thought they had the best relationship. I can imagine good things happening to them now - instead of the crap the writers would have given us.

I agree with the above poster that the show definitely ended at the right time.

Actually, I think the right time would have been the end of Season 4.

The final season was still watchable and had some good storylines (I liked the Brody/Sarah storyline) but for the most part it didn't feel like the same show. Rob Lowe was gone, Rebecca and Holly eventually left, so there was none of the politics or the Ojai drama or the Harper/Walker family feud. Just wasn't the same.

That being said, I did like the last episode.

Season 5 was only tolerable to me because of Nora and my love for K/S. I agree the lack of politics completely reshape do the show along with the reshaping of kitty. She was never my favorite charcater but in S5 they really made her character just blah and the storylines were ridiculous. I often tell people to look at 5x01 as the series finale because it wraps everything up nicely. However there were a few great episodes and powerful scenes in S5 as well just muddled in with a lot of crap.
