Like some others have mentioned, I really don't get why this film has got slated so badly.
I'd say it was the 3rd best Alien & Predator movie overall.

Being the 3rd best in those franchises isn't setting the bar very high, though. In both cases, the first 2 were good (Predator 2 was just meh) and the rest were god awful.

Its horrible on every conceivable level. They turned the franchise into a teen slasher movie. I wish there was someway I could un-see this movie.

Better than Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, the first AVP and at least on par with Predator 2 and Predators,
this movie itself. AVPR... Technically is not that bad, What I mean is, the plot and the ideas they had are technically okay.
The movie COULD have been good, or at least okay. The predator is cool, the aliens looked good, the Predalien was okay.
the problem was that they made too much close up shots and the movie is too dark. So you cannot see anything. There are literally scenes where is just Black screen with a little bit of shadows and light around. You literally have the screen black with something moving but you cannot see what it is.
It is a shame because some of us were just here watching this movie for the alien and predator creatures. Some of us could care less about the story or the humans, We wanted to watch the Predator fight the aliens.
but for some reason FOX didn't want us to see the movie clearly, or brighter for a better word.
For some reason FOX wanted to make this darker than it was on set, They made it darker after the movie was made, and you cant see anything. It is like they were trying to hide something in it.
Sometimes I wonder if they made it dark on purpose so that people couldn't tell what is going on because they were ashamed of how crappy this movie turned out to be
