It was on earlier tonight on the Hallmark channel. 6p.m.Pacific time for satelite subscribers and 9p.m. Eastern and Pacific for cable subscribers. Hallmark channel mistaken had it listed in tv guide as the 1989 version with Angela Lansbury.

I want so desperately to see The Shell Seekers starring Vanessa Redgrave. I can't find the DVD for sale online anywhere. This version hasn't been shown on TV in Canada, not in Toronto area anyway. Can anyone help me? I would love to buy the DVD. I've read Rosamunde Pilcher's fabulous book numerous times. It's brilliant! Now, I want to see the film. Thanks. Would really appreciate your help.

That's a Tuesday night.

I saw the Redgrave version last May when it premiered.
I saw 1986 version with Angela Lansbury on DVD. Its also a Hallmark production. The Redgrave version has more 'layers' and many more flashbacks to WWII.
