Okay I havent seen the movie and Im getting mixed reviews from everyone. So I didnt enjoy Devdas like many people, I just didnt get into it or Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam either. But I LOVED Black...so my question is if I would enjoy Saawariya or is this movie just like Devdas and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam???
shareI loved HDDCS, hated Devdas and disliked Black. I quite liked Saawariya, though I thought the story didn't have enough substance to be dragged out for 3 hours. They could have cut out a good hour of Sakina being a bitch to Raj.
shareif u didn't like devdas and hum dil de chuke sanam (both love stories) then chances are u wont like this either... being this a love story as well.
shareI dont mind love stories, the only problem I had with these movies was that they were to showing, I dont know if that makes sense, if they had focused on the love story more, I probably would have liked the other two but all it focused on was the set and the costumes and music. I felt that the love stories or secondary, more so in Devdas.
sharedude this movie wasn't like other indian movie romantic stories. It was quiet different and the whole setting really made the movie an out of the world experience. Sure its a bit goofy and kinda stupid at some parts, but other than that I think its been set up very well, by artistic point of view. Personally I enjoy romantic stories a lot but Indian movies have a trend for the same type of romantic stories over and over again with different characters. This one was just a bit different and thats what I appreciate that this director played around with different types of ideas and made them work for this movie.
