they made one, the most popular of which was the recent The Grudge series, of course hu would forget the Us version of the Ring. With the kind of calliber that we saw from this film, i wouldnt be surprise if we see a foreign version of Sukob, would you?

shareHmmm... I don't know. Is Grudge about tradition and beliefs? Because Sukob is basically about the Philippine superstition governing weddings. Then how can a US remake fall into place? How can they even start with the character? Unless, of course, they put an entirely different plot and pull away the story from its original form, its asian culture.
Though i really have to say, US remakes can bring a whole new life to a certain movie.
Maybe the storyline is about two American brothers who went to the Philippines to marry their internet chatmates. They don't believe in the Filipino tradition and go on marrying their chatmates on the same time (double wedding). Not totally a remake, but a version.
Maybe they can cast Tom Cruise and Put Brad Pitt to make it a hit! Put Zorayda Sanchez and Beverly Salvejo as their chatmates... That's a great combi!

Zorayda and Bev is quite hilarious... hehehe... pairing them with Pitt and Cruise... but duh! hate those two actors.....
shareOr, it could be about a half-Pinay or a Gen2 (Second generation Pinay born in US) and 40 days before her wedding she gets weird warnings from a strange psychic old lady who stops her at the mall and tells her she needs to find her sister who plans to wed three days before she does, but as far as she knew she was an only daughter, and that she's not been back to the Philippines since her dad abruptly left the country with her and her brothers, leaving a terminally ill mother (or so they were told)...
Anyways, she has to convince her sister to either get married at the same time, or wait a year...
So she calls ABS-CBNI, contacts Mike Guingona, and goes back to her Pinagmulan so she can break the Sukob.
Just a thought.
