androgyny.

i was surprised at how incredibly androgynous claude was.
that voice! paired with the hair and other subtle things i cant put my finger on. i caught this flick on tv midway through.
i spent the next 15 minutes or so believing claude to be a girl, until i was picking up on some things that suggested otherwise. even then i was scepticle.
did anyone else feel this way?

I definitly was confused until the aunt made the comment that he was so handsome. But through out the film it distracted me how female looking he was. He didn't act feminine just looked it.

Actually he was a very good little actor, everyone in this film did a great job.

It odd to me so many were unsure of his gender, i thought he was a boy from the beginnning. I guess I missed something others picked up on

Oh yea, in the beginning of the film I commented to my boyfriend "she is pretty, a tomboy but pretty, she is going to blossom one day" then I was like holy ship its a dude

Sure he was effeminate but I don't know how anyone could mistake him for being a girl.
