why I love this show...

Ok,

I didn't think there was enough of a thread dedicated to how brilliant this show is! Ok so it may occasionally be a bit same-y but it cheers me up at the end of the week, I genuinly feel for the characters and the scenery is beautiful! It may not be the best show in the world but I love it regardless!

If scrub land with the occasional green bush is what constitutes 'beautiful scenery' to you then you're welcome to it. The programme is S H I T E.

Okay, your post was about a year ago, but I will post anyway in the affirmative. Don't listen to saxon above me. He wouldn't notice beautiful scenery if he was standing right on top of it. Anyway, I completely agree with you. I like the show, too. I find it very touching, and I believe there aren't enough shows like it.

For a show that people claim is terrible and would'nt dream of watching it is doing rather well in the ratings and ITV probably would'nt keep commisioning it if people were not watching therefore there is an audience and i am one of that audeince.

I agree. To each his/her own, but 6ish odd million people, every week, over seven years, can't be all wrong. I happen to love the show. It's okay that others do not feel the same way. I hate/loath/despise "reality" shows. Some people love them. I think all of TV-land would crumble if only one type of show existed. And given my luck, it'd be network after network of crap reality television.

Family shows are rarely regarded as among the best. Classics like The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie fair little better in ratings here on IMDB than Wild at Heart, though I am surprised to see that Avonlea (a truly brilliant show) is rated at an exceptional 8.6. Of course, that might be because the people rating it have actually watched it.
