My Favorite Fight Flick
Rigged/Fight Night, whichever they want to call it. Is now my favorite fight film.
I have never posted on IMDb, because it wasn't important to me, but the cast and crew of Rigged should be proud of this movie.
It had a certain "warmth" about it that made me wish it was a 3-hour movie.
Rebecca Neuenswander was incredible as an actress and a fighter. Chad Ortis was very good as the sleazy manager who grew some scruples and basically came of age - leaving his old life behind.
Ian Shorr is a great screenwriter. Kudos to director Jon Dillon too.
With the movie receiving several nominations and 1st place awards at 2008 Action on Film Festival, it seems I am not the ONLY person who thinks RIGGED was an excellent flick.
You can say "it was unrealistic - a chick who beats down big dudes" but many, many movies are based on suspension of disbelief and Rigged did this just fine.
Why are Kat's abilities "unbelievable," but you'll plunk-down $12 to see cars that transform into alien robots?
So Rigged is my favorite fight flick - and I'll buy the DVD just to support their effort.
