They Should Make More Films Like This!

Whether John is actually a caveman is up for debate but you can't deny how captivating the film is for the audience. I love 12 Angry Men & I love Glengarry Glen Ross. I love the fact that these films don't cost much, don't have too many scenes, & certainly no wastage on CGI garbage whatsoever.

I wished Hollywood would produce more films such as this. These actors & actresses may not be well-known but if you can make a person on the edge of the seat just by a series of dialogue, then I think that's what acting really is.

Oh yea, special mention for Ryan Reynold's Buried too. 

Absolutely agree. That's why I loved this movie so much. I was thinking that same thing even as I was watching. That almost the entire movie took place in the living room (apart from a few scenes right outside the house). Just shows the power of good dialogue and writing.

The similar can be said about "Coherence". Such a great film and premise as well, and most of it revolved around dialogue inside a house.

"Coherence"? Never heard of it before but I will check it out. Thanks for sharing! 

Couldn't agree more guys. Although the acting wasn't too great, I couldn't stop watching. And Coherence is absolutely awsome as well. Hollywood should start focusing on making more movies like these!!!

Have you watched My Dinner with Andre (1981) and The Sunset Limited (2011)? They're fairly similar to this one and 12 Angry Men (1957), being set mostly in a single room and driven purely by dialogue. If you haven't, I recommend you check them out. 

Don't listen to the negative ones; their arguments are irrational.

I've heard of the former but not the latter. I don't mind if a film has a few different settings such as that in Glengarry Glen Ross - it doesn't have to be confined to a single area. Anyway, I'll check them both out 

thank you! 

Agree. They should. I may have liked it, being an agnostic, but the religious people may have found it hard to digest. I loved its take on religion and the world during that period. It was awesome. I must say it is one bold movie!

We must have sci-fi movies like this one too every now and then instead of Avengers and Pacific Rim and all that crap!

'Locke' is one worth watching.

i really like this film, and have seen it about 5 times now, i keep rewatching it every year or so (speaks volumes about the film) - i came to mention coherence as another suggestion but see someone already did, so the best i can do is to mention a film called Compliance, dialogue driven, situational etc - you might like

I feel like I have to insert a word of warning: Compliance (2012) can be really off-putting (some might even consider it distasteful, though I personally wouldn't go that far). It's one of only two movies (that I can think of; the other one being Irréversible (2002)) where my aversion to the contents turned into an aversion to the movie itself.

I haven't watched either, I'm afraid. It's interesting though, because I really liked The Girl Next Door (2007), and that's one of the most disturbing movies I've ever watched. I really don't understand why I find the disturbing nature of that one engrossing and that of Compliance (2012) off-putting. Maybe it's just that I felt like the former had a valid raison d'être, whereas the latter really didn't (in my opinion).

I believe Compliance was based on true events.

That's correct.
