Noone seems to consider this :

1 - The bible was written by men - not God or Jesus - and men are imperfect. Do you really think God proofread the bible before he allowed it to be published?
2 - The bible has been translated and re-translated and re-re-translated(by men)so many times that its impossible for very much of it to mean the exact same thing today as it did thousands of years ago. As an example: Can anyone (that's not a Shakespearean scholar) read Shakespeare today and TRULY understand it without footnotes or some kind of translation? Hardly-and he wrote just a few hundred years ago!

The bible claims to be the word of god quite literally. If it's god that made the men to write the book with his own words, why is the book so imperfect?
Besides, are you stating that god wouldn't be capable of writing a bible that so everyone would understand and without ambiguous interpretations and contradictions?

Well, the oldest christian bible we have on records is over 1600 years old and hardly had many translations until it's existence, since translations were pretty much rare at the time.
Even if it's mistranslated, what exactly can be taken for truth in it?

Just out of curiosity...you are NOT really serious when you imply that NO ONE has thought of these two ideas, right? 
